In the Truth Project, lesson 8, one question Dr. Tacket poses is "How do you define Christianity". What do you think?

Well, whether it is to define Christianity or what does Christianity means to you? It is two different perspective to me, define Christianity is based on an act of worship, believe in Jesus Christ, become follower or like Christ. What does Christianity means to you? Means that Jesus Christ died for us our sins, believed that He is risen, He has a passion of love, He is so faithful for us, He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Christian's lives are in relationship with God through Jesus Christ and in the communal with other Christians in our church we are attending and seeking to have passion of relationship, love, and follow the way that Jesus taught us.

I think Christianity has different levels of it's definition.  On one level, the one we know most about, is that to be a Christian means you believe in Christ and follow his ways and teachings (and the Bible).  But if we were to try to box-in a specific definition of Christianity- I think we would find that it would spill-over every effort we made to find a bigger container.

Just like a journey is a progression- so too is our knowledge and experience in living out the Christian life.  And we are limited in describing Christianity by our finite ability to understand only what we have experienced; we can not define something that we've not experienced yet.

I know that my definition of Christianity as a child was far different from what I know to be true today, and I have an obligation at each part of the journey, to live out the definition- exactly as God has revealed it to me.
