Go beyond WWJD – What Would Jesus Do?

Instead of asking WWJD (What Would Jesus Do?)…start asking WIDWJWD (Will I Do What Jesus Would Do?). To be a true disciple of Jesus Christ, we must back up our talk with Actions. 1 John 3:18.

What happens to a family when a member loses their faith?

What happens when a family member walks away from the faith? Do we shun them or do we love them? We do damage to the person and tarnish the image of our faith when we reject them. So, LIVE the faith and love them through their difficult time.

Always – A Song by Josh Tollison

Josh Tollison wrote a song called “Always” that brings tears to my eyes everytime I hear it. My words here don’t do it justice… so definitely visit his site and listen to the song: http://www.myspace.com/joshtollison

Because Josh’s song affects me so much, I thought I’d share some of the lyrics and WHY they are so meaningful to me.

Love Others by Looking Them in the Eye

We meet people all the time. All too often I feel like the person shaking my hand has no interest in me at all. They don’t take the time to “SEE” me. They are usually gazing off in the distance for the next hand to shake. I’m left feeling like “Mr. Cellophane” from the musical Chicago. To establish relationships with other people, and to show them you care, start by looking them in the eye.

Busyness is the Enemy

Busyness threatens your relationship with God. It robs you of time to notice and worship God, time for friends and relationships, and time for prayer and reading the bible. Learn why we are willing slaves to busyness. Discover how to squash busyness to achieve richer relationships and more meaning in your life.

Coincidence? or God? – There are NO Coincidences

There are NO coincidences

Man Made or God Made?

As a former Atheist, I can appreciate the attempt to logically explain everything. However, where Christians excel is in our ability to look at something very simple and come to the logical conclusion… “That’s GOD!”

My Faith Journey: From Atheist to Christian

I was recently interviewed on a nationally syndicated morning radio show about my faith story (FamilyNet/Sirius 161, Mornings with Lorri and Larry).
I was an atheist for 13 years, and through a miracle, started believing in God and eventually put my faith in Jesus Christ. Hear about my transformation and also learn a few tips on influencing [...]

Best Way to Approach an Atheist

I was recently on the radio sharing my faith story from Atheist to Christian. During the interview, the host asked a question I wasn’t completely prepared for. She said “Given that you were an atheist, how do you suggest Christians should approach an atheist”?
Now, I knew how NOT too…but how to? I thought for a [...]

Holy Ostracism…Not So Holy

Should we practice holy ostracism because someone is homosexual? absolutely not. That only feeds the negative perception…that “we won’t associate with those sinners”..and that we are somehow better than them.

All One Body

My wife and I spent the weekend out of town and visited the church of our in-laws. It was interesting to note how different their church was. In fact, without close inspection it would be easy to ONLY see the differences. The music was different. Songs we sing…they sing differently. Their communion was different. The [...]

Choose Christ Daily

When did you accept Christ into your life? That was a significant, eternal life event that likely happened many moons ago.
However, do you live your life today as if you JUST made that choice…full of passion and eagerness to please God?
Remember that we must take up our cross DAILY (Luke 9:23). Choose Christ daily and [...]

John 18:38 – “What is Truth?”

Just before Jesus was crucified on the cross, he was brought before the Roman governor in Jerusalem, Pontius Pilot. After a series of questions by Pilot, Jesus said “for this reason I was born, and for this I came into the world, to testify to the truth. Everyone on the side of truth listens to [...]

Jesus is the ONLY way to heaven! – the most NON-exclusive club in the world

John 14:6 (NIV)
6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
I hear it all the time: “I can’t believe in Christianity…or in a God that would exclude so many people from enjoying a relationship and eternal life with Him”.
With so many religions [...]

An Amazing God

My wife and I spent a few hours this Saturday, doing some home improvement at the home of a single mother and her family. One of the tasks was to remove the rocks, gravel, and dirt near the front entrance of the home…to make way for future plants and flowers. In all, we probably removed [...]

Creation vs Evolution Debate

There has been a lot of interest in the debate between the biblical “fact” of Creation vs the “theory” of Evolution. By the way, in case you didn’t know…a “theory” is something that HASN’T been proven. The reason why it’s not called the law of evolution is because it’s not true . Check out [...]
